Description

There is no invalid parking but the spaces on Quai du Baraban allow you to open your boot and use wheelchair ramps.

You can either walk –

A) To your left looking at the river and having crossed the road bridge the path goes right alongside the river.  This is a 5 Km walk which goes on compacted stone / mud part of the way and finishes up at the main town road bridge the D957. We have not been this way.

B) To your right and follow the river across the road bridge with the Pont de Rialto on your left. The path continues then next to the river on the Quai Alex Tchekoff. You walk past canal boats that are moored and a restaurant. Continue as far as you want onto the Quai de La Trezee. Then cross the lock onto the Ecl de La Place with a further lock to cross coming back alongside the Canal Lateral de la Loire. We have not been past the 3rd lock and should you get to the 4th (Eclus No. 4 de  Cognardier) and cross over for the return it looks like it is grass and mud track from Google maps street view. So it may be better to return the same way.
