Completed projects after the book was published
The original roof was just river canes covered in mud and then flat tiles placed on top. Temporarily repaired in 2004 it was now time to go!
Colleen was not impressed with the new lounge.

Workhorse quad bike to the rescue again. It is a long way to the bore hole up the steep hill.
Removing 160m of bore hole liner and pump after failure. Never say impossible to as Marine Engineer! Everything was done by the 2 of us without assistance.
Each section was 6.2m long and it was only possible to make a 5m high frame.Drilled and fitted a rebar to secure when moving lifting position. Used also when breaking sections.
Upgrading the sany system - yet another job for Albert the digger
Tank brought up in the trailer with tractor used to lift and locate
11 years after initial installation using the original soil pipe we completely made a new system. This stopped having the occasional blockages at last
Cutting out the corner hillside coming up from our home. to track. It requires a 5 p[point turn at least! Turned out solid rock and hard going.
Patio floor tiles completed and all the wood framing.
T&G wood roof cover with green felt bitumen covering added.

Easiest way to repair hillside tracks washed out by rain is to dig them up at the bottom and put back again!
