Hobberton Movie Set New Zealand

Peter Jackons The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Hobberton Movie set. Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, lived at Bag End, a luxurious small or Hobbit-burrow, dug into The Hill on the north side of the town of Hobbiton in the Shire’s Westfarthing.

On arriving at the movie set and collecting your tickets you then join the tour bus to take you to the set. The road to the set was dug by the New Zealand Army corps. It is very twisty as they dug around the small hillsides that litter the countryside and form Bag end.
