Description

We were staying at the campsite Camping Le Rhone with easy access to the riverside walk.

Parking listed here is on the Quai Farconnet next to the campsite. This is a lovely shady area and also where the river cruise boats tie up. It is a great place to get an ice cream and watch the cruise boats turn in the river and also watch them lowering everything on the upper deck including the ship’s bridge in order to get below the bridges here.

Continuing past the Quai along Promenade Leon Perrier you can cross the river on the large wooden structured bridge.

Both sides if the river Rhone have walking next to it. Promenade Robert Schuman is on the East side.

Suitable for

Non powered wheelchair – self propelled – All terrain wheelchair. Power wheelchair / mobility scooters /buggies/pushchairs.

Additional Information

Behind the Cite du Chocolat Valrhona on the East bank of the Rhone, there is a car park with wheelchair access up a slope to the riverside walk. This place is a musium on how they make chocolate
